Cats picked last in SEC East

Kentucky Coach Rich Brooks took a good-natured dig at the media on Monday for always picking his team last in the SEC East. Brooks will have even more ammunition now, as his Wildcats were indeed picked to finish sixth in the division in the preseason poll released at SEC Media Days on Friday.

Florida was picked as the SEC champion by 63 of the 64 voters, with Ole Miss receiving the other vote. The Cats placed 11th overall in the league in terms of votes, ranking ahead of Mississippi State.
